Applying for a Unit at Greenvale
Greenvale has 62 townhouse style units. 21 of these units are market units and members in these units pay the full market charges each month - $781.00 for a 2 bedroom unit, $886.00 for a 3 bedroom unit and $992.00 for a 4 bedroom unit. The other 41 units are subsidized by Niagara Regional Housing. Members in these units pay a base 30% of their gross monthly income. Utilities are not included in your housing charges (rent), you will be responsible for hydro and gas for heating.
The approval process for membership at Greenvale includes an application process, an interview by current members of Greenvale, a land lord check and a credit check conducted by the manager. All of these processes must be completed to be approved for a unit.
Greenvale maintains an internal waiting list for members that wish to transfer to a different unit, and an external market waiting list (as of August 2021, market rent applications are no longer being accepted). Once you are approved by the Board of Directors and you reach the top of our waiting list, you will be offered a unit.
Market Rent Applications are not being directly accepted at this time.
Please visit nrh.ca to join the waitlist via Niagara Regional Housing.
